I blog at Living Healthy in the Real World and Living Rhetorically in the Real World. Part health freak, part rhetorician, I like to proofread, edit, write, exercise, cook, and research nutrition and fitness in my spare time. I believe in living a lifestyle which includes plenty of activity, healthy relationships, and enjoyment of life in general. Health Writer Eats is a blog to document my daily food intake so that you can see how easy and fun eating healthy can be! I will not necessarily update on a daily basis, but I will update as frequently as I can to give you an overview of the kinds of food that I enjoy each day. I will also include recipes on occasion. Posts will be published at the end of each day.
Feel free to contact me at sagan.morrow[at]gmail.com if you have any questions or comments. For more tips, news, and information about nutrition, check out my blog Living Healthy in the Real World.
Explanation about the Stats at the bottom section of each post: It is here that I record the total calories for the day, whatever I have done in terms of exercise, the approximate number of hours of sleep I had the night before, and my body composition. These will not necessarily be updated in every single post, but I will be posting them as frequently as I can to give you a general overview. The reason I am including the approximate number of hours that I slept the previous night is because I have issues with falling asleep and staying asleep, and it will be interesting to document if it has any effect on my ability to exercise or on the food choices I make on the following day.
All calorie counts are rough estimates and I round up to the nearest 25 or 50 calories. I understand that not everyone likes to know the body composition of others, so I am simply beginning at zero for the first day of documenting my daily eats. Every other day, I will record the number “0″ with “+” or “-” in addition to an extra number, to indicate my weight and body fat percentage fluctuations; this way, I will be recording how, with the food that I eat and the exercise that I do, my body weight and body fat percentage may increase, decrease, or stay the same over time.
Disclaimer: I research health on my own terms and am happy to discuss your eating patterns and offer my advice, but I am not an expert. This is a blog which will hopefully give you some ideas for how you can healthify your eating habits.
